Annual Patriots Day Weekend Celebration – Celebrate your Patriotism in Ogunquit during our 20th Annual Patriots Day Weekend celebration! Join us as we go back to our roots, with historical characters walking the streets, musterings, and fife & drum concerts. What could be more American than a craft show? Re-enactments, kids' carnival, cookout, taste-tests, and casino night round out the weekend.

CINCO DE MAYO! – Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with us in 2010 during our 2nd Annual Cinco de Mayo Weekend Celebration! In keeping with the weekend's theme, several restaurants will have special menus, and the clubs will be decked out in their Mexican finest.

OGUNQUIT PLAYHOUSE: The Drowsy Chaperone:A Musical Within a Comedy:Be transported to a magical, wonderful world in the season opener. This new musical comedy was the darling of the Tony Awards, winning the most statues in 2006! The hilarious show-within-a-show begins when a die-hard musical fan plays his favorite cast album, a 1928 smash hit called “The Drowsy Chaperone” and the show magically bursts to life. Audiences are instantly immersed in the glamorous, hilarious tale of a celebrity bride and her uproarious wedding day, complete with thrills and surprises that take both the cast and the audience soaring into the rafters. This final collaboration between Rodgers and Hammerstein is considered to be the world’s most beloved musical and is the winner of five Tony Awards including Best Musical. Featuring some of the most delightfully infectious songs of all time, an endearing love story set in Austria at the dawn of WWII and one of the most thrilling and inspirational finales ever presented in the theatre; it is guaranteed to win your heart. Come hear your favorites songs, “Edelweiss,” “Do-Re-Mi” and of course, “The Sound of Music!”

Enjoy a lot of medieval merry-making with the delightfully zany Monty Python’s Spamalot, a musical lovingly ripped off from the internationally renowned comedy team’s most popular film, Monty Python and the Holy Grail. This highly irreverent parody of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table is the recipient of three Tony Awards, including Best Musical, and fourteen Tony Award nominations. Join the Ogunquit Playhouse for its lavish production, featuring Tim Hatley’s sumptuous Tony nominated sets and costumes, a chorus line of dancing divas and knights, flatulent Frenchmen, a killer rabbit and more madcap mirth than a headless knight!
